He steals a rare diagram detailing the principles behind refining lamp oil-knowledge developed by the scholar Oshio Chūsai and his son. The two had planned to sell the rights for 10,000 ryō and use the funds for poverty relief. However, betrayed by corrupt merchants, both father and son were executed, their heads displayed in public. Aizome, driven by vengeance against Chief Minister Mizuno Tadakuni-whom he holds responsible for their deaths-now seeks to set all of Edo ablaze. Nemuri Kyoshiro, aware of the grave threat, stands ready to confront Aizome and his followers in a battle that pits justice against righteous fury. #SleepyEyesOfDeath #IchikawaRaizo #samuraiaction #japanesecinema
